Adobe Connect is a communication application from Adobe that provides video conferencing services. If you are looking to deliver a remote lecture, this app can help. It has a solid set of features, including a video chat, desktop and document sharing, and even the ability to add custom apps if you have experience with Adobe Flash Player. More than the conferencing, it also offers webinars and collaboration sessions. Note, however, that the app does not have its dial-in service. If you don't want to use the internal voice-over-IP (VOIP) capabilities, you need to sign up with a third party and integrate it with your account.

Flexible and reliable conferencing

Users must know that Adobe Connect has a steeper minimum commitment than other apps, such as Click Meeting. Moreover, there is only one published plan for meeting that can only host up to 25 participants and up to nine meeting hosts. However, inside that package, users can also create customized meeting URLs and even store files. They can also record meetings and edit them. For meetings with more than ten hosts and up to 100 participants, you will have to get a custom plan. 

At a glance, Adobe Connect has a look that seems to be a few generations out of date. However, while it may not look flashy, it is functional. Many of the tabs seem extraneous, but this is because the app doesn't consider all meetings alike. The result is that there is a separate category for training, meetings, and seminars. Despite that, setting up a basic meeting is straightforward. It will only take a few clicks and some basic information to start your conference.

As the presenter, you will have control over the screen layout for all participants. As a participant, you will be treated to unlimited quality video feeds. All in all, Adobe connect does a good job of delivering a solid video conferencing service. It is reliable and flexible, with lots of options available. Some may even say that the app suffers from an overabundance of options. Because of this, some users may need a high learning curve to harness its powers.
